Lapidus Surfaces is a leading company, importing, warehousing and distributing marble, granite and quartzite slabs to the construction and renovation industry, both residential and commercial. We service Eastern Canada from our warehouse in Toronto and our clients can expect prompt delivery anywhere in Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes.
We import slabs primarily from Brazil, India, Italy and Spain. Our suppliers use state of the art technology to ensure material quality, and we are uncompromisingly committed to the quality of materials and proper colour selection for creating your personal space. The slabs are always inspected prior to shipment to ensure that the best quality materials reach our warehouse.

Our Materials
Marble
Metamorphosed limestone consisting chiefly of recrystallized calcite or dolomite, occurring in a wide range of colours and used in sculptures and architecture. For residential usage, marble is commonly used for walls, floors, bathrooms and also in the kitchen. Marble is softer and more absorbent than granite.
Granite
A very hard granular igneous rock consisting mainly of quartz, mica and feldspar and often used as a building stone. Granite is used for kitchen counters, bathroom vanities, floors and walls inside and outside. Granite is extremely dense, hard and highly resistant to heat.
Quartzite
Quartzite is a hard, natural metamorphic rock formed when quartz-rich sandstone is subjected to extreme heat and pressure.
